bad girl gone good?
when we think of rihanna's style, we think EDGY, UNEXPECTED, 'OOOH, HOW COME WE DIDN'T THINK OF THAT FIRST?'. fine, not always, but mostly. sometimes she teeters on the edge of 'uhmmm, no thanks' but we haven't really seen her in recent times and thought blah.
remember these appearances?
we like to think of them as vintage rihanna - the color poppin', print clashin' and simple but striking looks we've come to admire from afar.
lately, however, she's been seeming a lot more subdued. hair pulled back, outfits straight to the point...and almost regular.

strictly greys, blues, blacks, and whites here. a very subdued palette. nothing really screams spectacular or out of the ordinary. don't get us wrong, she still looks pretty darn fabulous sans the frou frou. we just can't help but notice a change in her approach to style...
we'll be keeping an eye out, lol. anyone agree with us or are we reading too much into this?

LOL, it's really funny, I was thinking just yesterday how I didn't even bother to try to copy some of her other looks because they were pretty...complex. But I totally agree - she's definitely loving the 'not trying really hard' look right now. Not as much as a visual pleasure but hey, if it ain't broke, don't fix it!
Good old Rihanna.Love the shots you showed of her and yes shes looking a bit more subdued at the moment in ref to prints and colours. we all have phases so perhaps she will come back with a bang.

hey marian!! i def. agree with you on the phases we all go through. rihanna's style def. remains one to watch regardless...but i do miss the edginess :( lol
