it's that time of the year again, folks! in a few weeks, new york fashion week will be well underway. we're especially glad that the african promise collective (called the african fashion collective last year) will feature select african designers again this year. we expect to see designs from tiffany amber (nigeria) and david tlale (south africa), winners of the "designer of the year award" at arise africa fashion week. this is a second showing for tiffany amber who showed last year alongside momo (nigeria), stoned cherrie (south africa), and xuly bet (mali). we've also just found out that jewel by lisa will also be showing!!! we'll keep you posted on who the other designers are as we know. in the meantime, save the date (fri, sept 11), get excited, and tune in to shopliquorice for all your coverage needs ;-)
