etsy love: orion by Jalvo

spring/summer 2009 will probably go down in history as the era of balmaniaobsessionmania. and quite rightly so -- elevated, padded shoulders drowned most other trends and took center stage in many-a-closet and bank statement. truth be told, we detested the trend at hello and found some interpretations a little too obnoxious for our taste...but we've slowly thawed/warmed up to it and are now fully in love. this etsy piece by Jalvo (see above) is the perfect keepsake from the summer that made us all pay attention.
